First, make sure your 2005 Lexus LX470 came equipped with a 7-Way trailer connector from the factory. If it did, the factory wiring harness for a brake controller will be there. The plug is located underneath the dashboard, to the left of the steering column taped to another wiring harness near the left side of the vehicle.
